Since the iPod classic thick version (160GB 6th generation) uses a thicker hard drive, there isn't any room for this battery, so this high capacity battery won't work for those units.  Though if you have a SSD or adapter (iFlash) that uses SD/microSD cards then this battery will work for the thicker version units.
